Runebound - The Island of Dread
I was Trenloe the Strong and was in the lead right from the start. But
then I wanted to make very sure that I would win this (I had leveled up to
16 in all three stats), which resulted in Björn, who was not sure to
win against all the silver cards, gave it a try, otherwise he was sure I
would have won. And he managed to battle through and defeat Assif Shib-Sa.
So close...

Runebound - The Frozen Wastes
I was Okaluk and Rakash - and sucked... I had not even attempted a blue
encounter, when both other players engaged Arshan. The first failed, the
second won against him and finished the game.
I cannot count, how often I rolled one less than needed. I did not manage
to roll 11 or more four times in a row, with three re-rolls. I was stuck in
the middle of nowhere for et least 5 turns in the game. Such a poor dice
thrower just does not deserve to win...

Runebound - Midnight
I was Jahzir - and all of Eredane trembled and bowed before my might
granted to me by my dark lord Izrador. All of Eredane... well ... except
those pesky self-termed freedom fighters! So I send my patrols out to rid my
dominance of the land from them!
I managed to get the threatlevel up to eight - but then every roll failed.
I still had up to three automatic successes from my shadow power, but the
heroes did not fail anything that would allow me to make use of the power.
Then they started to attack my mirrors. And had a rune. A rune that denied
my challenges doing damage for the first [number of exhaustion counters
taken] rounds of combat... no chance...

Runebound - Crown of the Elder Kings
Silhouette, Red Scorpion and Battlemage Jaes (me) vied for the position of
the Elder King.
Jaes became Elder King, and was challenged by Silhouette and her allies.
They lost against the second of Jaes' Vassals.
Next, Red Scorpion and her ally attacked. They killed both Vassals and the
battle with Elder King Jaes and his two allies started. Both of Jaes Allies
were killed, while Red Scorpion and her ally had all sorts of 'take
exhaustion instead of wound' special abilites, as well as a host of cards
that allowed them to refresh their health status during combat. The last
attack of Jaes was crucial: He had just one wound left, Red Scorpion two.
Jaes would cause 1 hit but had an activate-to-use-item which would increase
the damage to 3. All he needed was a 14 on 2D10. If he would fail the roll,
one damage caused by Red Scorpion in return would be enough to kill
him.
Of course he rolled a 7...
But the end game was a blast, tense to the last roll!
